John focuses his practice on domestic and international tax planning for US and non-US clients. He also advises clients on US federal tax matters involving complex mergers and acquisitions, employee compensation, and real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Harrison & Held John was member of the Mergers and Acquisitions tax practice of a Big 4 firm in Chicago providing tax advisory services in corporate mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructurings.
John has served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Thomas King Kistler of the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Centre County, Pennsylvania, as an Illinois Supreme Court Rule 711 Clerk for the Felony Preliminary Hearings Division of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, and as a judicial intern for the Hon. Ronald F. Bartkowicz for the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.
John was also the Managing Editor of the Penn State International Law Review.
